I've played to level 7 so far. I had fun! I like the visual ambience. I liked that I can go up walls and how the level design helps you learn.

I had difficulty understanding which wall types and corners are traversable and which ones aren't. I wondered if there could be more color coding or other visual cues to help with this? It seemed like some of the eye triggers reset when you recall the arrow and others don't, but they look similar. I also wondered if preparing the bow, shooting, and recalling the arrow could all the be the same button.

I included He Who Watches as part of a puzzle game compilation @50:23. A nice change of pace from the block pushers that make up the rest of the vid and the wall walking was a great element that added to the possibility space.

Hey there, I'd like to talk to you about this game.  Could you send me an email to david.paige@atari.com so I can start a conversation outside of message comments?

Hello!
I tried your linux build because I saw it was untested,

the linux version does load and opens but i cant manage to enter any level. looking into the console i can see an error saying "map move_tut1 does not exist" .

I guess this is as far as I go with the native build, game looks good from the pictures keep working on it ! :D

ps you can open the console with F1 maybe a good idea to disable that next build <.<

Hey thanks for trying it and letting me know the issue! I'm not actually too worried if people find the console, it was one of my favorite parts in the source engine games. Seems like Linux and Windows need some OS specific file reading. I'll set up a dual boot to test this in the future

Hello its me again !
I saw you updated the game so I tried it again seems like the error with the map not loading was fixed(?) but there is now a graphic error, tho that might just be my pc, in any case here a picture of what i see.

I actually like looking in consoles too tho I dont know the unity commands too well to play around with it much

Hey! I tried your demo and want to say a few things. First of all, i really dig the idea and the movements, the mechanics are really unique and the limited movement we are given. I also really like the vibe and overall feel of the game. Here are some things i noticed.

For the design, I love the main menu and the aesthetics. Especially how the gravity works!

In terms of performance, I was running the game with my computer ( i7 11th gen, rtx 3060 ) at 180 fps average so i can't really say much in terms of the performance since i have a pretty high-performance PC so the game was running smoothly for me and I didn't come across any bugs in my playthrough.

I managed to finish all the level, but i was stuck at some level for way too long before i can figure out the solution (i'm prob just dumb). A tutorial / hints / tips that explain the mechanics would help tremendously (If you're in progress of making these then Nice!).For example, At first i assumed the yellow crystal can't be turned off from shooting it twice resulting in me being stuck in level 8 for way too long.

It's a very cool game and i love the puzzle design ( especially the green plants ).

You did an awesome job man! Can't wait for further updates.

Hey  Danga!

First and foremost, I really enjoy the style and gameplay here. That "Aha!" moment of knowing I can walk up walls was quite powerful.

I've a few notes (Most small).

  • Main Menu: Really really enjoy the style of the menu. Potentially, it would be nice to have a brief indicator showing that I can pan the menu/map with the mouse. Wasn't fully aware at first.
  • Text: Would be helpful if there was the ability to speed up/skip the text display animation.
  • Performance: Now, I am on a MatebookXPro 2020 with an MX250 GPU, so take this with a grain of salt, but I found the FPS really choppy. Still playable though. Also, there seemed to have been a big initial drop in performance upon restarting a level.
  • Doors: The doors that swing open potentially open a square too near to the door. The first time I walked through I thought I had walked through the closed door, rather than seeing it open. That could be linked to the performance issues about though.
  • Level 4: I may just be missing something entirely, but I couldn't seem to finish level 4. I got to the 3rd "Room" and couldn't activate the last connection that I needed..I could very well just be stupid though lol. ( I did shoot the eye more than once..could be related to my next point?)
  • Bug: Some blue "Crystals" took 2 arrows to activate. Also, after activating/deactivating them a couple of times, they would no longer activate at all. (Notices on level 5).

All in all; this is a really really cool game! Absolutely love the style and gameplay. It really opens itself up for some really neat puzzles. I hope the notes above aren't discouraging, as I'll have this game on my radar! Can't wait to see further progres.
